CV & Cover Letter Optimisation Workflow

Use this 4-step workflow to move from a broad Master CV to role-ready documents.

Checking sign-in status...

Step 1

Master CV Audit

Check baseline quality, evidence strength, and missing essentials.

Step 2

Master CV vs JD Gap Analysis

Estimate role fit and identify exact matches, weak evidence, and clear gaps.

Step 3

Targeted CV Tailoring

Create a concise, ATS-friendly CV focused on role relevance and outcomes.

Step 4

Strategic Cover Letter

Generate a persuasive letter aligned to role needs and business impact.

Step 1

Master CV Audit

Upload or paste your full Master CV. Review the audit, edit your Master CV, and rerun until quality is strong.

Supported formats: TXT, MD, RTF, PDF, DOCX. You can also paste text directly.

Edit in the Master CV textbox (left), not in the audit output. Then rerun Step 1.

Getting Started

  • No perfect score required: You do not need 100% to move forward. Many CVs score 50–70% in Step 1, and that's normal.
  • Target 70%+ for best outcomes: A score above 70% gives you strong foundations for job applications. Below 50% suggests significant gaps worth addressing.
  • Ready to proceed? Once you're comfortable with your Master CV (even at 60–70%), move to Step 2 to measure fit against a real job description. You can always edit your Master CV and re-audit later.
  • Iterate freely: Edit your Master CV in the left textbox, then rerun Step 1 to see improvements. The audit helps you identify what to refine.

Step 2

Master CV vs JD Gap Analysis

Paste the target JD to estimate fit (1–100%) and identify strengths, weak evidence, and priority gaps.

How to Use This Analysis

  • Green Flags: Skills and experiences that directly match the JD. Highlight these prominently in your tailored CV (Step 3).
  • Yellow Flags: Partial matches or weak evidence. Step 3 will help you reframe these to show stronger connection.
  • Red Flags: Clear gaps between your CV and the role. Note these—they may require additional training, projects, or honest positioning in Step 3.
  • Selection Probability: This is an estimate. Use it as a reality check: scores below 40% suggest heavy repositioning; 40–65% means strategic reframing needed; 65%+ indicates strong potential fit.
  • Ready for Step 3? Once you've reviewed the gaps and priorities, proceed to generate a tailored CV that strategically addresses the yellow and red flags.

Step 3

Targeted CV Draft

Generate a role-focused CV draft using your Master CV, JD, and gap analysis.

Step 4

Strategic Cover Letter

Generate a role-aligned cover letter based on your tailored CV and the target JD.
